Our team of STEM enthusiasts look forward to engaging students with our programs and events, and inspiring them to consider a future with STEM. We are a team of experienced outreach practitioners, with many years working on various outreach programs across the STEM spectrum. The Curtin student ambassadors in our team study various disciplines, and connect to students as peers by sharing their own personal journeys.

Andrew Hannah

STEM Outreach Manager

Andrew Hannah has a wealth of experience in science communication and the STEM engagement field. Andrew’s background includes work in a bi-cultural childrens’ museum in his native NZ, establishing Scitech’s regional touring programs, developing award-winning exhibitions at Scitech including Innovation Central and Playing With Light, and delivering training and consulting programs in Japan, Qatar, China, Australia and NZ.

Girls Engineering Tomorrow Program Coordinator

Aleesha started in the STEM outreach team as a student whilst studying Biomedical Science. Throughout her studies her passion for STEM and has continued and has translated to sharing this with students, showcasing how rewarding a STEM pathway can be. She now coordinates the Girls Engineering Tomorrow program helping to support and inspire female high school students to pursue and engineering pathway.

STEM Outreach Coordinator

Gina discovered her passion for science communication while completing her degree in biology. After ten years’ experience in outreach, she is still passionate about raising awareness amongst young people of the opportunities and benefits of STEM careers. As the Girls in STEM champion, Gina focuses on outreach projects that help to raise the visibility and participation of women in STEM.

Tim Keely

STEM Outreach Coordinator

Tim Keely has been involved in STEM since he was born, just like everyone else in the world. For the past 15 years he has been part of the Faculty of Science and Engineering at Curtin University, raising awareness in the community about the importance of getting more STEM into your life. His great passions in the world of STEM include robotics, agriculture, guitars and basketball.
